self reflection
I feel like I have accomplished a lot this year but I wanted to accomplish more. I didn't like how we had to in the first semester make our game the way that they wanted us to make, (the hidden objects) but that we could pick the topic was cool. I also didn't like in the 2nd semester that we had to make the mobile game that they wanted us to make it and then we had two topics to choose from. That really made my creativity go down and made the class less fun. Also the art. I don't really like drawing in flash but I love programming. If I had a team then they would do the art and I would program and it would be perfect. We would have a really good game and we would have been prob already done with the game in time for globies. And we could have won.

Drawing Background in Flash
I think that drawing the background in Flash was easier than drawing it on paper. It was easier than drawing on paper because all you had to do was get the box tool or ect and make the shapes. With the paper it came out all uneven and had messed up and with my ugly handwriting. But the paper helped me image it better so I could have a better out site on my game and made it easier to draw in flash because I already knew how it was going to look.

Paper Prototype
The paper prototype was pretty easy to make but it gave me a better idea of what my game will look like once I start drawing it. Also it made me take into consideration all of the factors that the game will need and the point system and such. It also made me take into the thought of a win and lose scene but instead of that it will be on a game over and a high score scene. So you don't basically lose and you don't win. You just improve your score.

Plan Game Scene
My vision for my game is to make it fun, yet let it educate the children. The thing that most excites me is using a new platform for the game and learning new code. It will be a new challenge and something better and harder to figure out. That excites me the most. Learning something new and becoming a more well rounded programmer.

Game Learning Topic
My game topic is to teach people how to avoid unhealthy foods and to pick up and eat the healthy ones. I chose this topic because child obesity is at an all time high and since a lot of kids are playing games on tablets, phones, ect.. then they will stat eating like the game and their weight will gradually decrease.
What I will do to make my game have scrolling, moving and avoiding/collecting items is simple. My player will have to move through the grocery store and avoid the unhealthy items coming towards him. He will have to jump/duck to avoid the unhealthy items/gather the healthy items. He will get three lifes and every time he picks an unhealthy item he losses a life. He will go through the game until he dies like temple run kinda game. No levels just scores.
They will learn because they will die if they eat those kinda foods. And since my game is geared towards little kids they will probably think that ,"It makes me die in my game, I should't eat it in real life." Which will make their diets better and will decrease child obesity.

Scrolling Games
Well I think that my side scrolling game will have objects coming towards the character and they will have to avoid it and it will also have some type of point system that you will have to collect. For the console it will use the up and down buttons on the controllers and for the mobile you will have to side your finger up or down and it will move up and down. The reason I made this decision because it will be to complicated for people to have a little up and down buttons on their mobile device and it they will just uninstall it and not enjoy the game.
