Liliana C Blog #8 2010 Coral Reef Adventure

In the south pacific coral reefs have been going strong for 60,000,000 years and more. Coral reefs are by little organism called hyper algae, which is the most important thing to help the coral reef live because they eat it and if the oceans temperature gets higher than two dredges than the algae scatters and the coral reefs die. Corals reefs are in between islands and the deadly oceans to protect the islands form monsoons, hurricanes, and much more. The corals reefs are good for many things like easy child labor and for the extensions life's of people that have aids. They also feed people that live in the island that they are protecting by feeding the fish and then they eat the fish. The biggest reef is the great barrier reef which is located on the coast of Australia. Besides the amazing view of the reefs they make a great hiding place for animals, like when the predators come to feed in their prey than they can hide in these over 6,ooo year old organisms.

The sad thing about this is that the greatest Coral reefs are dieing. They are dieing because of over fishing, and silt. You the reader are asking me two questions right now number one what is ocean warming? and number two what dose silt have to with this?. Well I will answer your questions you know about global warming right? Well when it gets hot it will make the ocean hot too. And number two when you cut the forest down then the silt is running threw a creek than the creak goes into the oceans than falls on the Coral then the Coral cant breath so they die. Hope that answers your questions. But there is an answer two question number two, their is a tree called man grows and it stops the silt from spreading two the coral reefs.

I think that we can stop the marvelous creatures from dieing if we can slow down global warming.

This video has really showed me what is happening in our world at this very moment.5 years ago these people video this film and it was already at breaking point and it is not taking a bad consequence on us but in the first creatures you where in this world which are our animals .The effect were the live has gone so far that some beautiful creatures have seriously gone extinct like the (Golden frog) this frog was a idol to the (Montanas Verde's) but because of a harmful fungi that humans accidentally let free in their habitat the water got polluted with the fungi and it did not take long for the frog to disappear.As well as the Emu leopard there are only 30 in the whole world and they are soon going to be an unknown species if we do not think about how our actions will effect not only us but the creatures that live in it to we have to learn how to take care of this world and if we were going to live more than 20 at this rate we will probably will not make it to 5.For example polar bears had to use all their force to break ice to find food and now polar bears are drowning of how much they swim to find ice to rest on and they are even starving .One of the video man saw this polar bear acting really weird to them and it turns out that the polar bear was attacking walrus as food which had never happened.Like I said we only have this only chance to make a brighter future and I think that with more people joining this world will have more than half of the green lands,forest and animals that were poached.

In my Globria class we had to watch the Inconvenient Truth. I thought was going to be a boring documentary about science. I was wrong. This documentary really opened my eyes and made me want to do a part in this world. Before I thought it was just happening so I didn't really think about it. But now, WOW it was crazy that all of these years we knowing about it and and the country hasn't told us about it, I they had told us it would proudly wouldn't be so bad as it is right now.
