Divine Intervention: The Final Game

Hello people as you can tell by the title of my blog I finished my Final Game!!!! My team name is Unknown (that's the real name) and the title of my game is Divine Intervention. The topic of my game is History or World War II and my learning goal is to tell you guys as much as I can about World War II. The player will get all the information about World War II in the about part in my game. I would like to add and improve a lot of thing for my game. First I would want to make it a first person shooter and not a mini game and I would also want to add the other war I wanted to add. The most challenging part about making my game was the my partner and I were first in the same period then we got our schedule changed. We both wanted the idea so we worked together on the game in different class periods. That was a fail because we were communicating not as well as we should have and that's why the game is the way it is. The part I'm most proud about is everything I learned. From new codes to the Civil War it was a fun experience and I like having the new knowledge that I have. Now that you have heard about the game I bet you want to see it so here is my game hope you like it I personally think I could have done better but oh well it was due.....

Respect:What it means to me

Respect can me a lot of things. It means something diffident for everyone. To me this is what it means to me....

*Having a good Character

Having a good character will get you respect. Character is the way you act. If you have a bad character then you are obnoxious, cocky, or rude. If you have those traits then you will not get respect. But if you have a good character then you are nice, helpful, and trustworthy. Those traits will get you everywhere. You will get good friends, also have respect from adults and your classmates.

*Regard other people accomplishes

To do that you need to compliment peoples accomplishments and show them that they did do a good job. That is showing respect.

*Give other people consideration

Don't just be about you. Admire other peoples work and remember that they worked as hard as you did to get where they are. Another way of giving respect.

*Honor people that should be honored

Old people, soldiers, single mothers/fathers, people with disabilities that over came them...etc. just give them a thank you.

Now you know what respect means to me. You can use any of these things in everyday life and its not that hard.

My job is to finish all of the scenes that I am going to put for the Game Demo. Since I have to have completed the Intro, Team Introduction, Audience, Gameplay, only that I have completed the Intro and the Team Intro, due to codes, I just need to complete the other ones. I also have to finish the Learning Goal, the Fun Factor, the Smart Factor, Style Factor, and Originality Factor. Each time I have made changes to my Game Demo, I have to save it as my Team Name_ and whatever scene we are in. For example, if I am doing the Intro, I will save it as UnknownGameIntro.I also have to add the previous button for the players to go back, if they didn't understand the instructions. When I am in the Audience scene, I have to get away from the line that says,"This game is for everyone!" I have to say this specific age.For the Style Factor, since my game is about the Presidential Race, for the background I can put stripes, due to the U.S. flag. So far, I am completing the scenes, it's just that I have to put codes, so that the scene can go to the other ones.

Behind the Swoosh:Nike

In Globaloria we watched a YouTube video about Nike sweatshops in Indonesia. A man named Jim Keady was going to work as head soccer coach at St. Andrews Catholic School in New Jersey home to the best soccer team in the world and Nike wanted to sponsor them. Keady started to do research and found sweatshops in Indonesia where they made $1.25 a day. Keady went to live as one of the workers for a couple of months and almost starved to death and lived in basically slave quarters and they had horrible work conditions. On his way back to the states he went to Nike campus and found Phil Knight at a eating with a friend. Keady asks Knight all these questions and he just ignores him. Keady now goes to high school schools and inform students about the working conditions in Indonesia.

My opinion is that if they want to work let them work I know its messed up they can still do things about it but if they don't want our help then why give it? Its as simple as that. I will still buy Nike Products because if we don't buy then their not even going to get paid and you guys wouldn't like to see that either.
