Its apart of the history that makes the country that I live in and I like war.

I want people to learn......

What time the war was in and how many people died and why we went to war.

I think its important for people to know how are country started and what has happened in the past.

This issue needs to addressed because....

I fell like people don't know allot about the history of America and this game will let them know more.

Choosing a topic

I chose this topic because my grandpa was in the Vietnam War and I think that it is an interesting topic to learn about and to play a game about. I also chose it because it seems like a challenge to make a game about the Vietnam War without making it violent and making it educational and I want a challenge.

March Of The Penguins

What challenges do the penguins have to overcome?
The penguins have to overcome starvation, and harsh weather.
How does their habitat challenge their livelihood each day?
Their habitat challenges them because its below freezing and they could die of hypothermia.
What types of adaptations do penguins need in order to survive brutal winters as well as predators?
They have blubber now and their skin/fur is thicker and they can swim away they also dive up when getting away from predators and land on ice and if the predators can get on land to be quicker they slide on their bellies so they can get away.
Why is there a period of time in which there is practically no sunlight? What affect can no sunlight have on this region of Antarctica?
Their is that time because the earth is on its axis and Antarctica will be further away at some point of time which makes no sum light and the sun gives up warmth and that means their is no warmth or sun and that means it cold.
How could climate change negatively impact the mating ritual of the Emperor Penguin?

Climate change can effect the mating ritual because the ice will brake off and their will be no where the ice is thick enough and that will decline the population making it endangered or extinct.

Reflections On Game Genres

What I learned from the games I played was math, science, and etc.
Those games also gave me ideas of how I can design my game.
The games that stood out to me the most was the sports games.
I thought those games were really exciting and I also thought they can be improved.

Sigma Prime did not work

The game Hurricane Katrina Tempest in Crescent City was very good and informational

The game survivor I also likes because it give you infromation and I kinda reminds me of super mario and the solders are like the goombas

immune system defender is a hard game. it dient really get the concept but thats proply because I didnet really pay attion because there was too much writing if I could change one thing I would make it less writing.

I really iked the game trapcat. I had cute animations and all of the places they went I knew where it was it was aweome and the whole time I was playing that game I couldent stop smiling. I really liked that game! When I make my game I want it tpo be like that.

Math apprentice was not fun. It was boring and I did nit know how to play it.

Math Attack II was an oaky game but it was just hard. I think I need to tighten up my math skills.

How did gamers use the computer game Foldit to solve the protein folding mystery?
They untangled a structure of a atom that was able to be used to kill the AIDS virus in humans.
Who can participate in this problem solving and be a player in Foldit?
Any gamer or person can do it. It has the gamer atmospheric already and they dont need to be a doctor or scientist.

If you could solve a mystery through gaming for any kind of disease or illnes in the world, what would it be?
I would like to solve the cure of killing brain cells while abusing drugs. I mean if you ever want to stop that life style and better yourself but you cant really because you lost all those cells maybe there can be a new way to restore them.

Mini Game

Was it hard to make your mini game?

No because I did it already this is the third time it was easier because I knew what to do already.

What was the best part of this topic?

The best part for me was knowing that I already did it and that we go to put background and kinda mess with the knew CS5. I like the new CS5 because we get to have a decoration tool and i like the way that it looks.

The worst part?

I would say when we had to make all the instance names and put in the code. It wasn't hard its just so trying and I kinda of wish that it would just pop up like that. Put if you don't put the instance names than the computer doesn't know what your talking about and it doesn't response to the code so I guess it is beneficial to making the games in flash.

How old were you on September 11, 2001

I was three years old about to be four in October.

When did you first learn about the attacks and who explained the events to you?

Well I was on my way to daycare and I was in the car and we were listening to the radio then next thing you know we here a radio report saying say inside the north twin tower of the world trait center is down everyone go inside then my mom turned around and speed back home. I asked her what was going on and she said that some bad people crashed into two big buildings and into the military head quarters and one went into a field but it was suppose to be going in the white house. Then I asked her why would they want to do that and she said because they hate Americans then I asked her why they hate Americans and she said that you'll find out when your older.

What kind of impact did these attacks have on your life or your parents life?

It effected me and my family allot because were military and we had to go on base for the next week we could not leave base. It was hard because we had no contact with the outside world. I think the part that made us me the most worried was the pentagon because we are military and that is like the main thing. But most of all I lost my cousin to this act of hate.

What was the issue with this game?

Well first of all why would you make a game from a tragedy. Your suppose to take this stuff seriously and their making a game like space invaders that sicking me.

How do you feel about it?

I would never play that game because its not showing the truth about the game. You cant shoot down a huge airplane its not a little fly or bird.

What is the problem with portraying on such a awful violent even through a video game?

Well first of all their making people feel like its no big deal through the game and that you don't need to feel like you need to remember it and its not a big deal. Then you have how would the victims feel? Their families and friends would they like it? I think this game is very messed up and I would not ever play it.

How can you make sure that your web games tell the whole story or teach a lesson in an honorable way?

Well first of all I wouldn't make a simple little game about a big deal because I think that's messed up.

'Danger of a Single Story'

What does it mean to have a 'single story' about a place or community?

To have only one idea about a place or race or just like a person that looks a certain way.

Describe a single story you have heard told about your community. What is missing from that story? How could people learn more about that community?

The single story I have herd about my community is that every body on the east side is dumb.But that's not true because I go to a school full of smart people from the east side.

Describe a single story you have heard about another community. How did you learn that story? How could you find out more about that community?

Well when I was little I spent allot of time with my grandma.She had a single story about North Austin (i.e Ceder Park, Leander,e.x),that they all were white rich snobby people that looked at people from East Austin like they were dirt. Then one time me and my mom went up there to do something and they didn't act like that the people up their were brown like me it wasn't at all what my grandma told me. I had a single story about them and i wasn't true at all.

How could a game let players experience many stories about a place or community?

Maybe if we made like options for people to go to the slums or to the high class of India and show different life styles so people don't get a single story.

-Insecure, to make you feel bad,jealousy,or that they wish they were you.

Cyberbully is about a girl named Taylor , a teenage girl who falls victim to online bullying, and the cost it takes on her as well as her friends and family. Taylor is a seventeen-year-old student dealing with her parents' recent divorce and painfully aware of her lower social status in high school. When her mom gives her a computer for her birthday, Taylor is excited by the prospect of going online to meet new friends without her mom being all up in her private life. Taylor soon signs up on a website called Clickster.However, Taylor soon finds herself the victim of betrayal and bullying while getting on clickster. Obsessed with the damaging posts, she begins to withdraw from her family and friends, including her life-long best friend, Samantha Caldone.Tormented and afraid to face her peers at school, Taylor is pushed to an extreme breaking point, almost commiting suicide. It is only after this life-changing event that Taylor learns that she is not alone – meeting other teens, including a classmate, who have had similar experiences. Taylor's mom, Kris, reels from the incident and takes on the school system and state legislation to help prevent others from going through the same harrowing ordeal as her daughter went throught. I dident have te chance to watch the rest of the film but right now its a good flim I want to see the rest.

What is it about?
Well it was based on the BP oil spill and I started doing more reassure on it and found out their was more oil spill that i didn't even know about. So I thought it was important enough to do a game on it.

I have all of them done. Their are is an loading page,main,instructions,a "pick your weapon",fire level,scoop level, anti-bacteria level, results for all the levels, and credits.

All of it is completed.

What can you do from now until Friday to get everything finished and turned in?
I've got everything done.
What grade would you give yourself in Globaloria overall?
Maybe a 95 or 98 because I did so much work and I think I deserve it.

Well a lot more than last year of course. This year we learned how to program and we actually made a game.

The tsunami in Japan

I think it stinks what happened to japan. People are sending money and food and are armed forces to help them. If I could help I would send food because what is money going to do? They don't have anything to spend it on. Food is what they need to survive. I would also send a plane to get them to california so they can go and be safe. The U.S.A already has over 308 million people what can another 127,000,000 do us we just need open jobs so that every one can work.

PSP Next Generation
Oh my stars they did it! The next generation is out! That's awesome! I got a PSP Go and I want this one now. Its a touch, you can manipulate it from the back, can hold music, movies. and do much more. Its like a PS2 or a PS3 that you take around any where you go. Is also cool because it has a camera on the back and the front. This thing comes in black or white. If I could give a sugessiton then I would say make more colors then the basic black or white. Wheres the purple or red? The other thing is that they should make covers for them.

J. Lo Fur Bully on the Block

When you first get on this game it tells you the instructions. Then you get in this ally thing and there is J. Lo and she chases you if you get to the reporter she will stop. You Have to get all the animals before J. Lo caches you. If J. Lo caches you she looks like the devil.

Super Chick Sisters KFC

When you first get on this game you have like a short film at first. Then you have to get like a super Mario game. The charters are similar because the have the same hats and mustaches.I liked this game the best.

Crayon Physics

That was cool. I think that I could incouperate that into a game but I think I wount. Goggles Science Fair Project

Oh my gosh!!! I have been waiting for the perfect thing to do. I love science so much and know I will be able to do it world wide. I have don't little projects her and their but know this is big! I can't wait to sing up! I want to do some thing that would better my life using wind, solar, or water energy.I would also like to do on that using High furcouse corn syrup. Right know your asking me what is that? But we have it in all of our foods and we can't digest it and its not biodegradable so what are we going to do with it? I know what! We can heat it up and it makes a tar, then we could use the tar for like making plates or something because it is kind-of glassy when your done heating it up! So we would get rid of the hasardist ingrent in out food and use it for something muli-purpose because everyone needs plates to eat off of right?
